The commons is everywhere, woven into our global history, politics, and daily life. From medieval grazing lands to digital knowledge-sharing, ideas of what intrinsically is shared by all has shaped societies for centuries. But now, in an era of increasing privatisation, its significance is slipping from our collective consciousness.
Amidst financial crises, global pandemics, and mounting social inequalities, a resurgence is taking place. Across the world, communities are reclaiming shared resources, resisting commodification, and redefining what it means to live in common. But what exactly is the commons? And how can this ideology help us imagine something different for the future of life on this planet?

This limited edition of 50 was published in 2025. It includes images of the Human genome sequencing and collaged photographs of common land; representing the past and future commons.
